No one hears but the sun and moon
The wind carries her far away
To another land, another day
She comes upon a little boy
Frightened by the coming storm
She sings to him of a sunny day
When the people laugh and the children play
She happens by a little girl
Pondering her little world
She sings a melody simple and true
Of the rising sun and the morning dew
Lovers kiss ‘neath the starry sky
The song travels to where they lie
She sings a tune the two can share
They sing together unaware
She whispers to an aging man
All alone without a friend
She comforts him with a simple song
And urges him to sing along
And then the song comes back again
And tells me of that distant land
And all the people she came upon
Who heard her tune and sang along
So I sit alone and play
A simple song that came my way
She rides the wind to another land
Where the people hear and sing again
